Common Concerns about Hypnosis:
Hypnosis will not take over your mind. In therapeutic hypnosis we do things much differently than stage shows. Stage shows use confusion patterns that confuse the mind so that the person looks for direction from the hypnotist. Yes its funny, but that momentary brain confusion doesn’t last.
In therapeutic hypnosis we simply use relaxation and focus techniques. There is NO blanking out or losing control, you are aware and awake the whole time. As your conscious and unconscious work together, you can experience the amazing benefits of redirecting your mind even at the unconscious level.
An example of this is easily found in cravings. If you have been craving the wrong foods, your unconscious has fixated on it for a reason. So its simply a matter of addressing the underlying pattern and helping your mind switch its focus. I’ve even had clients come back saying,

Hypnosis in research: In 1970, Alfred Barrios brought hypnosis into mainstream acceptance as a valid and effective form of therapy and personal changework. Barrios compared 1,018 studies and articles on hypnosis, 899 articles on psychoanalytic therapy and 355 studies on behavioral therapy. He compared the overall success rates found in these therapies and his results found the following:
- Hypnotherapy had a massive 93% success rate after only 6 sessions.
- Behavioral therapy had a 72% success rate after 22 sessions.
- And Psychotherapy had only a 38% success rate after an average of 600 sessions.
From his compiling, he concluded that hypnosis was not only the most effective method, but that it needed less time and fewer sessions than any other type of personal growth work.

When I went back to school for my Bachelor’s in Psychology, I was not as active, but spending my time reading, studying and in class and I gained 40 lbs. I had certified as an Herbalist in my 20s, and I knew the right foods to eat, and the foods to avoid, but I just couldn’t get control over the cravings.
